Sally Hansen Nail Polish Find!

Another TARGET find, and of course another CLEARANCE find! This was marked as $5.00 as the original price which is a good find for three bottles of Sally Hansen. The three colors are all different shades of purple, which I feel is great for fall and winter. The staying power is pretty good, but I recommend a top coat, because it will start to chip if you go about doing everyday activities such as washing dishes!

Names from left to right: 270 Lacey Lilac, 560 Confetti Punch, 425 Pink Satin

This photo shows what kind of box they came in, look out for something like this now that the holidays are coming, it's a great gift idea for someone and having three colors gives a person options as well.

The above image is of 425 Pink Satin. It has a nice glossy glow to it without adding anything.

Dry Shampoo

Good Morning All! Today is quite cold here, we're experiencing fall like temperatures, but I'll take it! Today I wanted to blog about dry shampoo. So far I have tried three; however, lol, I can't seem to remember one of the three I tried (as you can guess it probably didn't work). The two I have in the picture above are the two most recent dry shampoos I have used.
Let's first look at Suave. Suave is reasonably cheap around $2.99 at Target, but can be purchased at other stores as well. The smell is very nice and it's easy to blend into the hair,I have light brown, blondish hair, so I have to make sure to blend the shampoo in well, because sometimes you can see the white hue. I think it works quite well to decrease any oil in the hair that you may have. I wash my hair every other day, so on day two I will use the Suave if I feel it needs a boost in appearance. Some people use dry shampoo for volume as well. I do believe it gives the hair slight volume, especially if it does have natural oils for day two. I haven't tried the shampoo on clean hair like some women do on YouTube, so I can't comment about that. I would recommend Suave if you are washing your hair every other day or every two days, for the price, it is useful.
Now let's look at Batiste. As you can see I purchased this from TJMaxx for $5.99, it happened to be at the store, so I thought I'd try it because some of the beauty gurus on YouTube mentioned they liked it. The smell is nice, however, Batiste is very white when you spray it to the hair, so for my brown/blonde hair it does not work well. It doesn't seem to blend as well. I have heard blonde women say they like it, most likely because it will blend better with very light hair. If you have any slight darkness in your hair or black hair STAY AWAY! This is not the product for you! I am, however, using it because I paid for it and do not want to waste it. I did think if you have gray/white hair it will work, because it will blend better with the color. As for taking the oil away, it definitely does! The life of the hair looks a slight bit dull though.
I hope my review of my two current dry shampoos helped you in determining if you would like to try them. Of course, we never know if something will work because we are so different, so don't be afraid to go out and try the different brands out there. If you have a dry shampoo that works for you, please leave a comment letting me know what you use. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

Have a great day,

Summer Craft Idea!

Sometimes, I think it's cheaper to make house decor, rather than buying it at the store. Do you agree?  The other day, my cousin and I were out shopping in Micheal's (craft store) looking for a fun craft to do. We finally found a cute heart with letters and each made a decorative piece to put up in our homes. Well the other day I stumbled upon the frames below in our local discount store. They sell Target outlet things. I bought each frame for...ready for this.... only 99 cents! I'm going to paint one, any ideas? Just thought I'd share my find, and inspire you to find cheap deals in your discount store, that may be cute, but need a little colorful change! I will be using acrylic paint for my frame, you can also find that in Micheal's or even in Walmart.

Happy Crafting!

Getting Organized!

Well, I think I've finally come to a point where I realize, I don't need to save everything! Well not everything...of course! I started last week to clean and organize, while I looked at all of my belongings, I thought to myself, have I used this in the past year? Why am I saving this? I think sometimes when we are out shopping we may pick something up thinking "Oh I can use this someday, or "what a deal I have to get this shirt because its on sale." Now do we really need more shirts...uh yes, we're women...we always need more shirts....but....we will use the shirt, or bookcase that's on sale?  So, here a few things I will be considering while I continue to clean this summer....

  1. Why do I own this?
  2. Have I used this in the past year...maybe even month?
  3. How much did this cost, is it worth even saving?
  4. If I throw this away or donate it, can I find in the store again if I reallllllllly need it?
  5. If I throw this away or donate it to charity will someone get more use out of it then I am right now?
Hopefully, some of my chatter of organization will get you to start looking at your belongings that are sitting there just gathering dust.

Happy Organizing and Good Luck,

Catch the Clearance! Find the Sale!

Are you a bargain buyer? Here are a few tips to help find the most for your money!

1. Always check the locals store ads. Yes, we all probably know this but in our busy world sometimes we forget! Check online or in your local paper. Not all stores put thier ads out on Sunday. Some stores ship out their new ads on Wednesday.

2. Coupons, Coupons, Coupons! Yes, you may think that coupons are for elderly, but no way! If you can save a dollar or two then...save it! It will add up! Check to see if what you are buying is on sale and find a coupon to use to get double the savings!

3. Know your store. Target for example places their clearance on the end caps. You can find great deals if you just look at the end. Also, if the clearance sticker number ends in an 8 it will be marked down again. If the sticker number ends in a 4 that is the lowest price they will offer.

4. Do you really need that item now or can you wait? There are times I find a great sweater for $25.00 but think..."is this really worth $25.00?" I find that if I wait a week or two, it either goes on sale or they start marking it down.

5. Think to yourself....."Could I find this item cheaper online?" There are times we can find deals for cheaper cost on the store website and the shipping will be cheap as well. Or you can opt for the "ship to store" option at some stores and skip shipping costs all together!

6. Check to see if you have a discounted store in your location? Here in our location we have a store that sells Target and Walmart items at a cheaper value. Its sort of like a "Big Lots" store but with a different name. The store has an agreement with bigger namebrand stores to sell extra items or items that have moved out the store for a cheaper cost.

7. Lastly, go shopping with a friend or family member. having someone to scope out the sales/clearance always helps!

I hope some of these tips helped you. They may be something you already knew; but; I thought Id share anyways. If you have any tips please comment and share!

   Happy Shopping!!!

Summer Skin Care

Today I am going to share two face products I use in the summer for oily combination skin.

Year round I like to use Clinique's Dramatically Different Mosturizing Gel (this one is better for oily skin, which I have). So when it comes to the summer time I do not have to switch mosturizers becasue this one works perfect for oily skin all year round.

When its time for the summer I like to use Shiseido with SPF of 55. This works great for oily skin, it even mattifies the skin, so you do not have that oily sun screen look at all (of course everyone has different skin types so it may vary). You can purchase this sun screen at Sephora, but I found mine at TJMaxx, for $25.00!!! At Sephora you will pay more so when I found it at TJMaxx in their skincare section, I bought it right away!

Living Life With Laughter

Its summer and people like to drink water or soda during the day to stay cool. I have found a great healthy (in my opinion) drink.  I found this in the store a few months ago and they are awesome! Sugar free...using Splenda instead; however, I know some believe its the same as sugar. The cranberry pomegranate and wild berry pomegranate are my favs, Im not a big fan of the lemonade I think its the amount of sodium, it has 35mg compared to the 10mg that the other three have so I find all the lemonade alone when the box is done, LOL. The brand is by 4C, check your grocery store, Walmart sells this also in containers of one flavor each!
